About DoctorIn
What is DoctorIn?
DoctorIn (doctorin.online) is a QR token and doctor-availability system for clinics in India. A QR stand at reception opens the clinic's own mobile page, which shows the live token, the doctor's status, OPD timings, directions and slot booking.
Who is DoctorIn for?
Clinics in India's Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities: independent diagnostic centers, pathology labs, single-doctor polyclinics and multispecialty hospitals.
Is DoctorIn hospital management software or an EMR?
No. DoctorIn is not an HMIS or EMR. It does not store patient records, write prescriptions or run billing.
Does DoctorIn give medical advice?
No. DoctorIn shows queue and availability information only. It has no medical, symptom, treatment or medicine content.
Where is DoctorIn available?
DoctorIn is launching in Adilabad, Telangana.
For patients
Do patients need to install an app?
No. Patients scan the QR with their phone camera and the clinic's page opens in the browser. There is no app and no login.
What do patients see after scanning the QR?
The running token and the next ones, the doctor's status (Available, In Surgery or Break), the doctors and specialties with room numbers, OPD timings, Google Maps directions, a call button and slot booking.
Can patients check the token from home?
Yes. The clinic's page is a normal web link, so patients can open it from anywhere and see the current token before they set out.
Are patient names shown on the token board?
No. The token board shows token numbers only, never patient names or personal details.
For reception
How does reception update the token and doctor status?
From a PIN-protected page at /admin on any phone or counter tablet. One tap sets the doctor's status to Available, In Surgery or Break, and + Next Token or − Previous moves the token.
How long does staff training take?
About 10 minutes, at your reception desk.
How is the token reset each day?
With a one-click daily reset on the reception panel. Multispecialty Pro automates the daily reset and adds CSV reporting.
Can the token be shown on a TV in the waiting room?
Yes, on Multispecialty Pro, which includes a full-screen landscape token view for a waiting-room TV.
Bookings and the deposit
How does slot booking work?
The patient taps Book a slot, chooses a batch, pays ₹100 by UPI and enters the 12-digit UTR. A prefilled WhatsApp message with their name, contact, batch and UTR then goes to reception.
Is the ₹100 deposit an extra charge?
No. The ₹100 deposit is adjusted in the consultation bill at the desk.
Why does DoctorIn use a deposit for bookings?
A small deposit makes each booking a real commitment, which discourages prank bookings and casual no-shows.
What is a UTR?
UTR is the Unique Transaction Reference of a UPI payment, a 12-digit number shown on the payment receipt in the patient's UPI app. Reception uses it to match a booking to a payment.
